After Apple's previous launch of the successful iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus smartphones, the tech giant is expected to release a new model, the iPhone 6S, before the end of this year.

PC Advisor UK reported that the new iPhone 6S will probably come out in August or September of this year. It is also expected that the new iPhone will run on Apple's new iOS 9 operating system, and will come with the Apple Pay.

The iOS 9 operating system was recently announced at the company's 2015 Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) event, and is expected to launch this coming fall.

Since the new smartphone is an S model, it will likely feature the same design as the previous iPhone 6. The new iPhone will also have a 4.7 inch 1334 x 750 pixel resolution display screen, but according to a rumor, it might have a 5.5 inch screen.

Unlike the previous models, other reports say Apple intends to upgrade the iPhone's 8 mega pixel rear camera to a powerful 12 mega pixel that will come with optical image stabilization capability.

The new iPhone 6S might pack Apple's A9 processor along with 2GB worth of RAM, which will boost its performance. It might also support the Force Touch display technology that's being used by Apple's smartwatch and MacBook devices.

The Force Touch display technology enables the device to recognize "a light tap" from "a deep press", according to Apple, giving the device more gesture capabilities.

In addition to the three standard colors, the iPhone 6S might come with a new color option that will make it more attractive to buyers. As of this time, the exact release date of the iPhone 6S still remains unknown. PC Advisor UK added that Vodafone had accidentally revealed a September 25 release date for the "new iPhone".
