'Arrow' season 4 spoilers: New villains, characters, lair, and Arrow costume featured in full trailer

 The CW

After the long wait, the first full glimpse of "Arrow" season 4 has finally arrived.

The trailer begins with a happier Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) as he jogs around a cozy neighborhood where he and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickars) seem to be settling down after they had their quick getaway together. But their newfound bliss is interrupted once they find out the chaos that is happening in the newly-renamed Star City, which is being cared for by Oliver's team comprised of John Diggle (David Ramsey), Thea Queen (Willa Holland), and Laurel (Katie Cassidy).

However, the trailer also hints that the couple will not receive a warm welcome from Team Arrow in their newly-redecorated lair since Oliver decided to simply walk away and leave them at the end of the previous season. But upon his return, Oliver will no longer just be called Arrow. This could mean that the Green Arrow will be born this season.

A new guy named Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum) is also introduced in the trailer, and he will be working under Felicity at Palmer Industries. Curtis also has a secret superhero persona which is called Mr. Terrific.

In the streets of the new Star City, chaos and discord are seen almost everywhere. These could be caused by the new villain named Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), the leader of the group called The Ghost which aims to surpass the ruthlessness of the League of Assassins that is now led by Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman).

But while the trailer shows a lot of explosions and endless gun shooting incidents, the vibe of the video is actually lighter compared to past seasons. The characters possess an air of humor dealing with the action-packed combat.

Felicity is also seen firing a high powered gun at an unknown target, and she manages to kick Double Down (JR Bourne) as he is running after her and Curtis to an elevator. Does this mean that Felicity can now help Oliver and the rest of the team to beat the bad guys?

In addition, Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) also appears in the trailer. Will Oliver's ex cause a problem to the new couple?

"Arrow" season 4 premieres on Wednesday, Oct. 7, on The CW.
