A special tribute to Billy Graham has been paid by Christian History Magazine to mark his 96th birthday earlier this month.

Usually published quarterly, the magazine interrupted its usual run for a special edition dedicted to the great evangelist entitled Billy Graham – Apostle of changed lives and second chances.

The feature consists of 10 articles that include rare archive photos, highlighting Graham's life and the core of his preaching message.

It refers to many of Graham's best-known milestones and innovations, including the 1949 tent revival in Los Angeles, his use of television and radio and his involvement in the American civil rights movement, among many others.

Spokesman Michael Austin said: "No man has had more personal, one-on-one, impact for faith in Jesus Christ than Mr Graham.

"He and his family are a living testimony to the faithfulness of the biblical message he so clearly derived from the start of his ministry to this day. Billy Graham's impact for good in this world is incalculable."

Guest editor David Neff gathered several leading historians and writers to work on the special edition on Graham. The issue is available in print and online.
