'Bones' season 11 spoilers: Case puts a wedge between Brennan, Booth in midseason finale
Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) will not see eye-to-eye in the back-to-back episodes of the midseason finale of "Bones."
According to TV.com, the first half will see the pair going undercover. To solve a case, they will have to act as complete strangers at a shooting competition showcasing the old West. While Booth and Brennan are usually in accord with how they want to approach a case, this time, they will not agree with each other's strategy. The undercover idea is Booth's and Brennan is only tagging along as her husband is hell-bent on impersonating a tough and rowdy cowboy.
Brennan thinks Booth only wants to go undercover because he wants to get a kick out of wearing the Western costume. Executive producer Michael Peterson told TV Guide that Brennan believed they could have worked on the case differently. He said that Booth would have his moment, while his wife would come in later. He also emphasized that acting as complete strangers would change their dynamics together, as they usually do clandestine work as a couple.
"She's like, 'This is a waste of time. You just want to wear a silly cowboy hat and guns.' She doesn't believe that it's actually necessary for the case, so she doesn't join him initially. They've been married for so long and to get to see each other in a different dynamic was a fun opportunity we wanted to take," the executive producer shared.
Meanwhile, the second part of the midseason finale will show things getting very awkward for Cam (Tamara Taylor). Her ex-beau Arastoo (Pej Vahdat) has returned and it will be a complete surprise for him to find her involved in a hot affair with photographer Sebastian (guest star Gil Darnell). The synopsis reveals that Cam will be making a difficult decision regarding her personal life. Will she tell Arastoo they are never getting back together, or will she tell Sebastian what they have is only a fling?
"Bones" season 11 midseason finale will air on Thursday, Dec. 10, at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.
