Christian Single Mom Draws Strength from God in Her Battle Against Breast Cancer

A single mother from Jamaica miraculously fought breast cancer in less than a year, and she has joyfully shared her secret to healing: her strong faith in God.

Thirty-three-year-old mom Danielle Joseph was diagnosed with stage two breast cancer last March, after she discovered a lump on her right breast.

Instead of crumbling in fear and hopelessness, however, Joseph was determined to fight her disease, drawing strength in her belief that God will help her heal.

"I declared the healing scriptures in my life because, yes, I know what the doctors say, but whose report will I believe? Definitely the report of the Lord, and His report said I am healed," she said in a Flair interview, as quoted by The Jamaica Gleaner.

Joseph underwent 16 chemotherapy treatments, which she admitted were "not the easiest things" for her. In the process, she lost her taste, became thinner, and suffered mood swings.

Throughout this ordeal, she drew strength from her three young children, and the continuing support and prayers from members of her Church. She also tried her best to stay positive in every way she could.

After completing her treatment in a span of 26 weeks, she had to go back to her oncologist and undergo another test to determine if she still had cancer cells in her breast. When she heard the results of the test from her doctor, she was overwhelmed with joy and gratitude to God.

"When she said 'Dani, no cancer', I started dancing and hugged her so tight! We were both happy and excited overjoyed and all the happy things you can think of. She said, 'Prayers worked, Dani.' I replied, 'Yes, Doc complete healing in Jesus' name," Joseph recalled.

She still has to undergo surgery to clean the area where cancer cells were once detected, but she is not at all worried.

"I know my God is the God who watches over His words to completion," the Christian woman said.
