Cleveland Cavaliers trade, roster rumors 2016: Head coach David Blatt or Kevin Love to leave?

Following a beating suffered by the Cleveland Cavaliers against defending champions the Golden State Warriors last Monday, renowned sports analyst Stephen A. Smith spoke about the possible moves that might happen with the Cavs.

The Cavaliers, who are the top team in the Eastern Conference and are title favorites, were embarrassed by Golden State which walked away with a 132–98 victory.

Everyone expected it to be a tight contest since along with the fact that they are the leading teams in their respective conferences, it was also a rematch of last season's National Basketball Association (NBA) Finals.

But that did not happen and the Cavaliers showed that they are not yet at the same level as the Warriors.

Smith, speaking on ESPN's First Take on Tuesday, said he received text messages during the night of that game stating there are only two ways it can go, it is either head coach David Blatt goes or Kevin Love leaves.

"It's coming down to one or two scenarios. Either David Blatt is going to have to go, and you're going to have to get somebody in here who could coach on this level against these NBA coaches, meaning being familiar with what they do and how to combat it, or you're going to have to get rid of Kevin Love and get somebody in here that can play on both sides of the ball," Smith discussed.

After the loss, Blatt took the blame despite the fact that his players, even LeBron James, had lackluster performances.

Blatt is only in his second season in the NBA and is being criticized because it seems like James is the one coaching Cleveland, not him.

Meanwhile Love, who was considered as a part of the Cavs' big three, struggled mightily in the game and was outplayed by the Warriors' Draymond Green.

The Cavaliers will have to do something about their roster if they want to contend with the Warriors or any other playoff team that have depth, especially with the second unit.
