"Counting On" star Jinger Duggar and soccer player Jeremy Vuolo enjoyed a whirlwind courtship that led them to an engagement. For the Duggar kids, courtship is a very important stage in any relationship that would help determine a future in marriage. But it can get difficult following Jim Bob and Michelle's strict courtship rules.

In the Oct. 30 episode of "Counting On" at TLC, Jinger revealed that there were some courtship rules she followed to a T, while there were some that she adjusted to fit into their relationship.

"I think it's different for each person. It's not a cookie cutter," she said. "Just praying about those things and not necessarily, you don't have to have it all listed as a set of rules, but just a general idea and letting the people around you know."

One thing both Jinger and Jeremy agreed on is that they will keep their relationship pure from any sexual temptations. "I have a desire to save really the physical for marriage," Jeremy said, while Jinger nodded in agreement. "I think we both understand that there are temptations and if we open a lot of doors physically then the time spent together basically becomes a time of saying, 'Okay, we can't cross this line' or 'We can't cross this line,' and it becomes difficult."

Jeremy, who is the goalkeeper for the San Antonio Scorpions, made his courtship announcement with Jinger through the Duggar family's blog. "As opposed to a more casual dating relationship, we really want to honor the Lord, and be very intentional about how we move forward," Jeremy explains in their video announcement.

"I met Jeremy last May and then we had the opportunity to go on a mission trip together," Jinger shares. "It was there that I really saw his heart and admired his character."
