Digital Bible to connect with the 'unconnected' of the world

Faith Comes by Hearing (FCBH) is hard at work to provide Digital Bible access to the most remote regions in the world and recently forged a partnership with Integrity Applications Incorporated (IAI) to reach the people in the Middle East, North America, Southeast Asia and China.

By awarding the contract to IAI, the ministry plans to utilise the firm's expertise in finding communications solutions to explore alternative avenues to reach those who are still "unconnected" to the Digital Bible, reported CrossMap.com.

"These are the best-of-the-best in finding communication solutions for the most difficult problems," said Troy Carl, FCBH vice president, and head of the ministry's digital outreach endeavours.

According to Carl, the project will be done in two phases. The first phase will entail the determination of the most effective alternative to have worldwide access to the digital Scripture that the FCBH has stored in its Digital Bible platform.

Phase two will involve the rollout of the live demonstrations and field testing.

"We are honoured to have been chosen by Faith Comes By Hearing to help them develop innovative and new ways of achieving their mission of getting God's Word to hard-to-reach and remote areas.IAI has been blessed with amazing people and with great opportunities to support our customers' important missions, none greater than this," said Joseph L. Brickey, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of IAI.

FCBH, a ministry which started as a small tape lending library in 1972 has evolved greatly from its early work in the distribution cassette tapes and CDs of audio Bibles in the US.

Three years ago, it introduced the Digital Bible platform, a collection of 886 Scripture recordings in various languages and signs, which provides free access to audio Bible recordings via streaming, podcasts, direct downloads, internet radio and mobile applications under the "Bible.is." family.

The ministry also provides engagement to the deaf through the Deaf Bible.is app.
