Still moving on from Danny's death, Clara is unlikely to entertain new romance. That's why in "Doctor Who" season 9, fans want the trusty companion of the Time Lord embarking on a journey for love. This is what her portrayer Jenna Coleman emphasized.

"I think what [Danny's death] has done to Clara is kind of changed her whole perspective on life," the actress revealed in a chat with YouTuber Yal Tygiel during the San Diego Comic Con, adding that there will "absolutely not" be a love interest for Clara.

"She's no longer got the ties to Earth that she had before. She just wants to be in the TARDIS and just wants to hang out with the Doctor and just wants that to be her world and makes it so," she went on to say.

In other related news, there are reports that Gallifrey might make a comeback in "Doctor Who" season 9. The last time the homeworld was featured in the sci-fi series was two years ago, in the 50th anniversary special "The Day of the Doctor," which aired back in 2013.

Executive producer Steven Moffat addressed this speculation, telling io9, "I think he does absolutely want to find Gallifrey. It's a duty. In some ways, the Doctor is quite an old-fashioned character. He does have a recognition of duties and loyalties, but these are things that are deep-set in him."

"I don't think he'll ever feel satisfied that Gallifrey is safe until he finds it. And of course, he is still riven with guilt about what he's put Gallifrey through," he went on to say. He teased that "if the Doctor does ever find Gallifrey, some people are in for an arse-kicking."

"Doctor Who" season 9 will see the return of Peter Capaldi as the Doctor and Michelle Gomez as Missy on September 19. "Game of Thrones" star Maisie Williams will appear in the new season too.
