More than a decade after the screening of the third installment in the "Jurassic Park" series, the new "Jurassic World" film finally has a scheduled release date next year.  ComingSoon reported that the film, also known as "Jurassic Park 4," will be shown on June 12, 2014 in 2D, 3D, and Imax theaters worldwide.

The movie finished filming last August, but the pre-production process just began. It means that fans still need to wait for several months until the new generation of dinosaurs grace the big screen.

According to the rumored plot, "Jurassic World" revolves around the events that happen in a supposedly safe dinosaur theme park where around 20,000 guests visit each year. When the park management decides to include a new feature called Isla Nublar Lagoon where an aquatic dinosaur lives, all hell breaks loose and the peace and safety of the park gets compromised.

A couple of weeks ago, "Jurassic World" director Colin Trevorrow posted a picture on Twitter that shows an object that is obviously a part of the original film's set back in 1993. Incidentally, the new Jurassic Park film is set once again at the Isla Nublar Island, which happens to be where the first film, directed by Steven Spielberg, was also located.

Also, fans are speculating if Trevorrow posted the odd image in Twitter to tease the fans that the stolen dinosaur eggs that original character Nedry dropped in the first film will become a full-fledged dinosaur in the next installment of the Jurassic Park franchise.

Actor Chris Pratts will lead the cast in "Jurassic World." He will be joined by other notable stars including Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Johnson, Ty Simpkins, Irrfan Khan, Nick Robinson, Vincent D'Onofrio, BD Wong, Kathie McGrath, Judy Greer, Lauren Lapkus, as well as Andy Buckley.

Trevorrow and Derek Connolly wrote the screenplay for the film.
