'Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4' DLC 'Road to Boruto' release date news: Game will be released on February 3, 2017
Bandai Namco has announced a new expansion for "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4." The new chapter — called "Road to Boruto" — will be released on February 3, 2017, and will be available on PS4, PC (Steam), and Xbox One.
"Road to Boruto" will have new characters such as Boruto Uzumaki and Sarada Uchiha. Boruto will also have his own adventures in the game, similar to his father Naruto's journey in the previous years of the series. The expansion will include major events in Boruto's journey including the showdown between Sasuke and Kinshiki.
In addition to this, the game will feature events and characters from the "Boruto: Naruto the Movie." Also, the Hidden Leaf Village will be expanded and give players access to new areas to explore.
Characters that will be added in "Road to Boruto" such as Boruto and Sarada will be available in the game's Free Battle Mode rosters, both online and offline, stated Siliconera.
Anime News Network reports that "Road to Boruto" will launch in a physical release, a digital download release, and a downloadable content (DLC) update release in Japan. Gamers who haven't acquired the origin game, "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4," should opt for the physical and download release. Both will contain the origin game and all three other DLC releases, along with "Road to Boruto."
Meanwhile, the DLC update release of "Road to Boruto" are meant for gamers who already have the original games and previous DLC releases.
Western gamers can look forward to different game releases. As reported by iTechPost, gamers from North America will have to acquire the origin game and then avail of the expansion "Road to Boruto." Contrary to the Japanese release, only the digital copy will be made available to gamers in North America.
