Nexus 5 (2015), Nexus 6 release date: Device out by Q4 2015

The first version of Nexus 5 from LG Electronics Google website

After the current Nexus device failed to sustain the popularity that LG Nexus 5 brought over, the task of bringing up that hype will now be at the hands of two companies – LG Electronics. On the other hand, Huawei will try to revive the flopping hopes of the Nexus 6 with its new version codenamed the Huawei Angler.

Word about the two companies gaining the nod has been roaming around the rumor mill for some time and now it seems practically confirmed that the two will be tasked to recall the hype that made the Nexus 5 previously had.

LG will try to come up with a new and interesting Nexus 5 variant, codenamed LG Bullhead.

Among the rumored specs, as shared by MobiPicker, about the device will offer include a 5.2-inch Quad HD display, a Qualcomm 808 processor, probably an improved 64GB of storage and a 2700 mAh battery. Aside from that, nothing has yet to be added on what else to expect.

Huawei on the other hand may have a bigger task ahead as it tries to resuscitate the flopping Nexus 6.

Codenamed Huawei Angler, the next Nexus 6 device will reportedly offer a smaller 5.7-inch OLED display (2560x1440 pixel resolution), a Snapdragon 810 processor and a 3,500 mAh battery.

Both devices are expected to come out with the latest Android M out of the box which is currently under development but should be good to go if the two are to be released as scheduled in the coming Fall.

After the Nexus 6 disappointing performance, could either LG or Huawei come up with something worth waiting for this October or November?

With the enhancements and slight rollbacks (in terms of display), there could be a chance the company can rebound especially after the success the LG Nexus 5 had.
