The Bills come into today's game off the back of a tight 11-10 road win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 2. They are 1-1 in the preseason and will hope to intensify their preparations this week and to address some of the outstanding issues they are still experiencing.

The Steelers are also coming off a win in Week 2, gaining an impressive 24-19 victory over the Green Bay Packers. They will want to continue improving and gain momentum as the regular season draws closer.

Week 3 in the NFL preseason is a big one, with three games taking place on Friday night, and 11 more taking place on Saturday.

On Friday, the New England Patriots were able to obtain a road win over the Carolina Panthers 17-16, and although it was by no means anywhere near a complete performance, they will be pleased to have come out on the right side of the result.

The Patriots are of course dealing with the loss of Tom Brady, who through DeflateGate will miss the opening four games of the regular season. So their top priority is to make sure they cover his big absence well enough not to allow the opening games to undermine their season and push for another Super Bowl.

In other games on Saturday the Kansas City Chiefs continued to look impressive in their preseason warm-ups. The Chiefs claimed a very convincing 34-10 victory over the Tennessee Titans, and their preseason form will give them hope that they can make a significant impact in the new season.

Meanwhile, the Detroit Lions looked far from their best, but still saw off a Jacksonville Jaguars team that looks like it is on the way up, but still a few seasons away from being able to seriously compete for postseason spots. The Lions came away from Jacksonville with a 22-17 victory.

Saturday's games feature 11 match ups, and being Week 3 fans can expect a much more intensive affair, with starters being given more field time as final preparations for the new season are put in place. Week 3 is traditionally a time where teams look to ramp things up significantly from previous weeks, and can be more intensive than Week 4 as teams look to be more cautious about injuries in the final preseason week as the new season gets close.
