'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' season 8 news: Sheree Whitfield, Marlo Hampton seen with 'RHOA' cast at Cynthia Bailey's event
Bravo executive Andy Cohen is keeping mum about the season 8 cast of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." In a "Watch What Happens Live" clip, he maintains that he has no idea about the show's cast, but he revealed that the official roster will "probably be announced six weeks before the show premieres."
It has been reported that filming of season 8 has already begun and more information about some new and returning Housewives have come to light. TMZ reports that Sheree Whitfield, who left "RHOA" after season 4, will be joining the show once again. It is speculated that Whitfield will be on board as one of the Housewives, while Marlo Hampton will also be joining the show on some episodes as a friend of the Housewives.
TMZ has released a photo of Whitfield and Hampton talking to cast members Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, Cynthia Bailey, and Porsha Williams. Although it is unclear at this time if the photo is related to an upcoming episode of the show, it appears that it was taken at Bailey's eyewear collection launch.
Another photo of Hampton and Moore talking to Bailey's husband, Peter Thomas, was released on the Daily Mail, and the website claims that "RHOA" cameras were rolling during the event.
It was earlier reported that Burruss, Moore, Bailey, Williams, and Phaedra Parks will be returning for the new season. Burruss' season 8 storyline will likely be all about her pregnancy as she and husband Todd Tucker are expecting their first child together. Meanwhile, Williams is said to have regained her Housewife status, and while Moore won't be exchanging barbs with NeNe Leakes this time around, she will reportedly be feuding with Whitfield in the new season.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Moore and Whitfield got into a big fight at Bailey's event which ended with one of them throwing water at the other.
Bravo has yet to announce a premiere date for the eighth season of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta."
