'Red Dead Redemption 2' release: Rockstar working on sequel?

Red Dead Redemption Rockstar

Fans still wait for the glorious moment when "Red Dead Redemption 2" is confirmed by developer Rockstar. In fact, details continue to trickle in about what the game will be all about and from what the rumor mills have come up with so far, the much-awaited sequel is on the way.

Product Reviews quotes (Rockstar owner) Take-Two Interactive president Karl Slatoff as saying during the company's earnings call that work has started for "unannounced" projects, which include new titles from "established franchises."

This is understood that the company will refresh most of the video game series it has put out. In fact, a new game is coming out from the company next year. The abovementioned site would like to believe that "Red Dead Redemption 2" is one of the titles Take Two was talking about.

Although Take Two won't say if the game in the offing is something entirely new or a mere follow-up to an existing series, it isn't impossible that the much-awaited and long demanded sequel to the mega successful open world, action-adventure set in the Wild West is coming soon.

"Red Dead Redemption" came out back in 2010 and it did not fail to mesmerize. By the time an alleged sequel comes out, it would be six years since its first release, which should be an ample time for Rockstar to build the continuation of the game.

Of course, nothing is set in stone yet and only time will tell if "Red Dead Redemption 2," or as some reports call it "Red Dead Revolution," will turn out to be Rockstar and Take Two's next video game offering. The former has already hinted that it takes timing to produce a sequel to the game.

As for what the game could be all about, some reports claim it will be set in Japan and that it will be somehow connected to "GTA 5." Rockstar San Diego recently bulked up its manpower, which had many thinking that the game studio is going to need all the help they can get in creating the game.
