The latest Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS update will arrive for the Samsung Galaxy S5 this month and will come to the Galaxy S4 in July.

Reports claimed that Samsung is already gearing up for the imminent roll out of the newest Android OS update to its own line of handsets. The speculations deepened as the update already headed to the Nexus devices particularly in India.

Android Geeks leaked documents that revealed firmware codes: Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900F and SM-G900H variants are G900FXXUOBNE6 and G900HXXUOBNE3 respectively, and Galaxy S4 GT-I9506 is I9506XXUQDNE4.

It seemed that testing and integration seemed to have reached the final stage. Thus, users may receive the update anytime soon. However, Samsung has not confirmed anything yet. The process of updating is that Samsung will be releasing the updates to the carriers and then the carriers will roll it out to their subscribers.

The Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS update brings a wide array of bug fixes and patches, interface update, a brand new dialer app and security enhancements. The bug fixes will fix data connection loss, missed calls, random reboots and camera glitches.

According to rumors, midrange and budget Samsung models such as Galaxy S3 LTE and Galaxy S4 mini might skip Android 4.4.2 and will be updated directly to 4.4.3.

Earlier reports stated that Samsung expressed its desire to cut off its ties with Android OS. Rumors said that Samsung will adopt the new OS that they can have more control of, like Tizen OS. It is true that Samsung played an immense role in making Android more popular. However, the company has no control over the OS.

Retail giant Amazon developed its own mobile software for its new smartphone Fire OS. However, it seemed that Android have established its stand in the market. Also, Google is rumored to be revamping the Android system to ensure that trusted manufacturers will be able to benefit and use the Android software.
