'Sleepy Hollow' season 3 renewed, premiere date: What to expect
The first thing that comes into mind when folks hear about "Sleepy Hollow" is the story between Ichabod and the headless horseman. And apparently such still remains in the series in a modernized setting which seems to have followed the proper route and hence getting rewarded.
Fox has announced that "Sleepy Hollow" will be back for Season 3, which is great news for fans who have followed the series since it first came out in 2013. With an erratic fan base in the early goings, the series has apparently gained success when it ditched the 'creature of the week' approach with a serialized storyline.
The result was a more loyal following and of course high ratings which eventually led to Fox Broadcasting Company deciding to bring the series back for another season. Not only that, the show is reportedly getting a new showrunner with the signing of Clifton Campbell who will take over from Michael Goffman.
With Campbell's success with "The Glades," expect "Sleepy Hollow" to get even better!
The creative minds are of course credited with the success, as well as the main protagonists which include Tom Mison (Ichabod Crane), Katrina (Katia Winter) and Lt. Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie). And with an astounding 8 to 10 million viewers in the 18-49 demographics, is it any wonder why the season has gained the blessing for another season over other series which have so far been put into question?
The formula of the producers to combine historical myths with a mix of humor has apparently sat well with the viewers. And while other shows remain up in the air on renewals, "Sleepy Hollow" is one that will certainly be around.
Season 3 of "Sleepy Hollow" is expected to start come the fall of 2015.
