Netflix's 2016 breakout drama, "Stranger Things," returns in the fall. The show will introduce new faces and a darker storyline. Cast member David Harbour recently opened up about what fans can expect from season 2 of the sci-fi series.

Harbour, who plays Chief Hopper, participated in a Mogul AMA session earlier this week where he talked about the acclaimed TV show. He mentioned that major surprises are in store for fans when season 2 hits the small screen later this year. As for Hopper, the officer will be making some wrong decisions as he tries to deal with the events in season 1.

"So his arc for season 2 in my mind becomes more about butting up against the places where his hero fantasy can't take him," Harbour explained, adding, "The places where that hero complex may force him to make the wrong decisions. It's a satisfying, completely different journey in season 2."

He went on to tease that the story gets fast-paced in the middle of the season as the tension rises. Harbour said he has not seen episodes 8 and 9 yet, but he believes those two will likely be better than the previous ones.

Meanwhile, one "Stranger Things" character who immediately gained a cult following was Shannon Purser's Barb. When Barb was killed off last season, many fans hoped that perhaps she will come back for the sophomore season. Unfortunately, star Millie Bobby Brown has already confirmed that Barb really died in the swimming pool. Purser spoke with Elite Daily last week and she revealed that Barb's passing will not be in vain because there will be "justice for Barb."

The actress also dropped some teasers on what happens in the upcoming season. "If we thought season one was intense, season 2 [will be] even more... It's gonna be a crazy ride from start to finish," she added.

The second season of "Stranger Things" will premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 31, on Netflix.
