Fans of "Super Smash Bros. 4" are excited to know which of the new characters will be featured in the hit game now that the Super Smash Fighter Ballot has ended.

The gaming community has yet to wait for the official results, but in the meantime, a new leak has been released online and it concerns the game's new downloadable content (DLC) third party characters.

It may be possible that the game will not only introduce one new character but two more, as reported in iDigitalTimes.

When the game receives its new patch updates, it's only typical for game miners to go through the patch codes to discover something worth sharing to the gaming community.

It appears that a data miner may have discovered something really interesting, and as the publication reported, there was a code that suggests three slots for fresh characters as well as two game stages.

Whom could these slots belong to? Among the most requested characters expected to appear as DLC for "Super Smash Bros. 4" include Dixie Kong and King K. Rool, both from "Donkey Kong Country"; Isaac from "Golden Sun;" Inkling from "Splatoon;" and Ridley from "Metroid," as reported in EventHubs.

Another heavily rumored character is Shovel Knight, and it's not the first time that the knight is being linked as a DLC character for the game, noted iDigitalTimes.

It was previously reported that the Shovel Knight rumor may have originated from Nintendo Life sources that revealed the character's appearance in the lineup. However, there is no confirmation to this rumor.

Meanwhile, the aforementioned ballot, which was conducted to allow gamers to vote for a character from a third party video game to appear as "Super Smash Bros. 4" DLC, has ended last Oct. 3, and results will be announced soon.

Until then, fans will just have to wait who among their favorite video game personas have made it to the "Super Smash Bros. 4" roster.
