'Super Smash Bros. 4' rumors: 'Final Fantasy 7' Cloud coming soon
Could "Final Fantasy 7's" Cloud Strife be a part of "Super Smash Bros. 4" this December?
This is the latest rumor making the rounds after a new image surfaced online supposedly indicating when Cloud might make his way to "Super Smash Bros. 4."
The image shared by Twitter user "Chalexiss" indicates that Cloud would be joining the roster for "Super Smash Bros. 4" this December. "Chalexiss" said that the image containing Cloud's arrival date came from a European Nintendo page, although the picture has supposedly been taken down since.
Nintendo has yet to provide any official release date for Cloud's arrival to "Super Smash Bros. 4," so that puts the veracity of the image into question, although it does also put forth an intriguing scenario that makes it plausible at the very least.
In the past, Nintendo used The Game Awards, which is usually held in December, as a platform to reveal important news. Interestingly enough, the company has also revealed that there will be a "Super Smash Bros." stream event taking place this December, and that too could be used as a stage for Cloud's debut for the game.
Fans have already gotten a sneak preview of Cloud in action inside "Super Smash Bros. 4" last month, according to Yibada. The teaser was released during the Nintendo Direct event that was held last Nov. 12.
The trailer featuring Cloud showcased the many moves the iconic character from "Final Fantasy 7" would have in the game. The brief trailer also showcased a variety of Cloud's limit breaks inside "Super Smash Bros. 4," including the fabled Omnislash technique.
Cloud could arrive in "Super Smash Bros. 4" together with a new stage. Fans who are eager to find out when Cloud might be coming to "Super Smash Bros. 4" will definitely want to watch out for further announcements from Nintendo.
