'Super Smash Bros. 4' update: Patch 1.1.4 poses problems to Wii U users

New character additions in "Super Smash Bros. 4" Super Smash Bros. website

Nintendo has just released the latest and the final update -- the 1.1.4 patch -- for "Super Smash Bros. 4" but not everyone is able to take advantage of the update. This is because the patch is just too big for the 8-GB Wii U.

The console does not provide enough space for the update, which is getting more gamers aggravated. The previous updates are a pain to install as well seeing that Nintendo has been putting out updates that just kept getting larger and larger.

That being said, the only way for 8GB Wii U players of "Super Smash Bros. 4" to get the patch is to use an external drive, which will allow them to expand the storage space of their console and ultimately enjoy the update.

Attack of the Fanboy hopes that this concern will be considered by Nintendo in designing its new console called the Nintendo NX. Games are getting bigger and even updates require huge space. The new console hopefully provides enough legroom for titles and updates.

Nintendo recently released the final balance patch for "Super Smash Bros. 4" as it set the stage for the arrival of new characters Corrin and Bayonetta. There were no patch notes provided but thankfully, Smashboards put together a list of the changes players can expect.

The "Super Smash Bros. 4" update offers big tweaks on characters like Little Mac, Roy, Lucina and Marth. Other fighters such as Bowser, Falco, Ike, Sheik and Toon Link also received moderate fine-tuning.

The likes of Falco, Wario, Ganondorf, Zero Suit Samus, Sonic and Bowser Jr. all got to enjoy minor enhancements. The unmentioned characters remain untouched by the update. All in all, the update promises to improve the unique "Super Smash Bros. 4."
