Even the characters of "Tekken 7" need to have fun under the sun.

The official Tekken website revealed that players can purchase swimsuits that can be used by all the female characters in the latest "Tekken" fighting game as part of the 2015 summer campaign that will run from July 29 up to Aug. 31. The customized swimsuit attires such as the "sunshine top" and the "celebrity mini bikini" for the female players will be available for a limited time. Meanwhile, the male characters of the game can opt to engage in fights bare-chested.

This is not the first time that the characters are given the chance to change their costumes this month. Early in July, several characters received the Idolmaster character costumes during the "THE IDOLM@STER M@STERS OF IDOL WORLD!!2015" to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the "Idolmaster" series in collaboration with Bandai Namco, as well as Tekken's 20th anniversary.

Some of the characters who were given special costumes from July 22 up to August 19 include Asuka Kazama as Haruka Amami, Lucky Chloe as Miki Hoshii, and Kazumi Mishima as Chihaya Kisaragi.

Meanwhile, during the annual EVO event in Las Vegas early this month, game producer Katsuhiro Harada explained the decision to release "Tekken 7" as an arcade game instead of releasing it in video console formats.

"This does give us on the other hand the chance to polish up the game while people are playing in Japan in the arcades. And to add content - unlock characters and such. So now you know, 'Tekken 7' you guys are able to play it today that's not the final version. Eventually when it does comes out in console there will be all kinds of cool things in the game that we can't go much into detail right now but obviously it would be much better than it is now," Harada said.

However, the game producer still has not revealed the release date for the console versions of "Tekken 7."
