'The Expendables 4' sequel rumors: More international stars joining star-studded cast?
One month after the announcement that the film production for "The Expendables 4" will start filming next year, more details about the fourth installment of the star-studded action movie franchise are starting to come out online.
Toward the end of October, several reports claimed that a big-time Bollywood actor will join "The Expendables 4."
Based on a report from Desi Blitz, "Sultan" lead star Salman Khan is in talks to appear in the upcoming sequel of the action film saga. Sylvester Stallone is said to want the 49-year-old star to join him and the rest of the cast of the movie, including the returning stars Jason Statham, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Jet Li, and Dolph Lundgren.
Stallone tweeted back in May that he would like to work with the actor who is considered as "The Tiger of Hollywood," saying: "Would like to thank the super talented Indian superstar SALMAN KHAN the Compliment he Tweeted! We should do an ACTION FILM together!"
If Khan will indeed join the film, he will be one of the actors who will appear in the upcoming installment of the franchise, including the former wrestling superstars Hulk Hogan and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
The actor, who is also referred to as the "Sallu Bhai," had several blockbuster Bollywood movies under his belt, including 2010's "Dabangg" and "Ready."
Meanwhile, other rumors about the casting list of "The Expendables 4" include Chinese action star Jackie Chan.
Millennium Films announced plans to create an all-female version of the action-packed film back in 2012, which will be called "The ExpendaBelles." Deadline revealed last year that director Robert Luketic will helm the movie, and some of the actresses who were tapped to join the film include Cameron Diaz, Milla Jovovich and Meryl Streep.
