'Thor: Ragnarok' cast news: Ray Stevenson and Zachary Levi standby for call

Will the Warriors Three help Thor in saving Asgard in "Thor: Ragnarok"? Marvel/Thor

Just like fans, Ray Stevenson and Zachary Levi, who play two-thirds of the Warriors Three in the solo Thor films by Marvel, still await news about "Thor: Ragnarok." The actors are yet to be invited by Marvel to reprise their roles in the movie, which starts production June next year.

Stevenson aka Volstagg talked about this in a recent IGN interview, where he revealed, "I've heard that it's on the cards. As far as Volstagg is concerned, should he be called with his other Warriors Three to protect young Thor again, within a heart's beat he will be there. So, I am waiting to hear."

Levi, on the other hand, understands the lack of news about his return to the franchise since script writing for "Thor: Ragnarok" is still in progress. He believes that when all that's ironed out, he will be receiving a phone call from Marvel shortly after if he will be in the movie.

"I hope I'm involved. I'd love to reprise Fandral," the "Heroes Reborn" star told Comic Book Resources. "That was a fun experience," he recounted, "getting to be blonde, Asgardian and sounding British."

Interestingly though, Jaimie Alexander, who plays the role of the Asgardian warrior and adventurer Lady Sif, has already been invited to reprise her role in "Thor: Ragnarok." The "Blindspot" actress has already confirmed her character will be of crucial importance to the film.

While this news spells trouble for the Warrior Three, Cinema Blend believes that if Marvel is phoning actors with the biggest roles in the film first, this could mean that Stevenson and Levi could still be in the superhero flick, albeit for small participation only.

"Thor: Ragnarok," set to hit the big screen on Nov. 3, 2017, is the third solo outing of the god of thunder. In the movie, Thor will make an attempt to save Asgard from certain doom and with actor Mark Ruffalo on board, it looks like he will get some help from Hulk.
