Fans of the American drama-mystery television series "13 Reasons Why" are excited to see more updates about season 2, which has been confirmed to come out in 2018.

The first season of the television series adapted from Jay Asher's novel "Thirteen Reasons Why" was a big success. It received an 83% rating from Rotten Tomatoes and 8.4 out of 10 from IMDb. The final episode of season 1 ended with a cliffhanger. Alex Standall (Miles Heizer) was in a critical condition after a gunshot wound. Justin Foley (Brandon Flynn) finally came to his senses and cut his ties with Byrce Walker (Justin Prentice). Finally, the scene ended with Clay Jensen (Dylan Minnette), Tony Padilla (Christian Navarro), Skye Miller (Sosie Bacon), and Tony's boyfriend, Brad (Henry Zaga), altogether in a car and driving somewhere.

Without any official updates from Netflix and the producers, fans shared their own theories on what will happen in season 2. One theory suggest that Alex was shot by Tyler (Devin Druid) and the latter made it look like a suicide. Another idea indicates that Alex was not the one aboard the ambulance and was actually Justin.

For now, fans can only rely on fan theories since there are no updates from Netflix nor the show's producers about the plot of season 2. However, few new characters for season 2 have been revealed. Young actor Bryce Cass will be part of season 2 as troublemaker named Cyrus. Actresses Anne Winters (Chloe), Samantha Logan (Nina), Allison Miller (Sonya), and Kelli O'Hara (Jackie) will also join the second season. Fans were happy to hear the confirmation that the actress portraying the main character, Hannah Baker, will return.

Netflix has only released one announcement trailer so far. The trailer was posted on the official Twitter account of the series with the caption "Their Story isn't over." Fans are hoping for new trailers before 2017 ends.
