Another controversy hounds the Duggar family. This time around, a younger Duggar member is embroiled in a controversial debate ignited by a photo posted in the family's official Facebook page.  It shows 16-year-old Jedidiah Duggar holding his new shotgun.

The controversy started when some fans of the "19 Kids and Counting" stars posted their opposing comments over at the social networking site.

One of the concerned fans wrote: "Worst present ever. I don't care how much gun safety they teach their kids. All it takes is one time of not locking it up properly for one of the dozens of curious young kids in that house to get a hold of it and have an accident. Why take that chance?"

Another angry commenter thinks the posted image was done in poor taste, saying, "It doesn't matter if this rifle issued for hunting...To glamorize a weapon on a Facebook page during a moment where children are being shot by police for brandishing airsoft guns and our country is being brainwashed into increased militarism is IRRESPONSIBLE."

Yet others are quick to defend the popular reality show family. One fan said, "Jedidiah will be 16 at the end of the month he is old enough to have a gun plus like someone already said they teach there children gun safety starting at a very young age like most of the people who live in the south do."

Then somebody added, "Parents who are responsible teach their children gun safety for a reason. To be the next generation of responsible gun owners. This is a great gift for a young man (or woman) who knows safety and can shoot."

The Duggar parents are known to teach all of their 19 children the responsible use of guns in their household. There is even one episode when an older Duggar daughter took her younger siblings on a gun shooting trip to teach them how to properly use a gun.
