Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald have expressed their desire to start raising their own big family by adopting a child, but it seems like the stars of TLC's "19 Kids and Counting" will have to postpone their plans because of some legal lapses. 

In one of their interviews with PEOPLE, Jessa was very vocal about her and Ben's intentions. The 22-year-old daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar told the magazine that she and her 19-year-old husband are seriously considering adopting. 

"We hope to adopt a lot of kids. If God blesses us with biological kids of our own, it's not going to quench our desire to adopt," the reality show star said.

Ben supported his wife's decision, saying that children are very important. 

However, the official Duggar family blog stated that the newly-weds might not be able to adopt yet, since most agencies require couples to be married for at least two years before they can finally apply for adoption. Jessa and Ben were wed only last Nov. 1, which means that they have been married for just four months. Still, this does not discourage the couple's desire to adopt a lot of children in the future. 

Good thing the couple is reportedly not in a rush to have kids at the moment. According to Inquisitr, Ben is planning to work as a preacher someday. He just completed an associates degree in Political Science, and he is seriously considering attending the seminary to become a pastor. At the moment, he is working for Jessa's father. 

The couple also recently moved into the old house that was earlier occupied by her eldest brother Josh and his own family before they decided to move to Washington D.C. The house, owned by Grandma Mary Duggar, is merely minutes away from the Duggar family house and just 30 minutes away from the house of her pregnant sister Jill and her husband Derick Dlllard.
