There seems to be a lot of reports which have claimed that Apple may be finally releasing the last remaining products in its roster of high-tech gadgets for the year within the month of October. One of those products will be an upgraded version of its relatively successful line of professional personal computers, the 2016 Apple iMac.

According to reports, the 2016 iMac computer might not be an entirely new generation, but simply an improved version of last year's offering. Nevertheless, with the current trend of faster and better hardware and software, the new iMac will most likely be a significant improvement compared to its predecessor.

Apple, as usual, has not been that forthcoming in regards to revealing the specs and features of its new offering, which has led to reports now trying to predict the various improvements that will be coming for the new iMac.

Several rumor reports have suggested that the upgraded 2016 iMac will likely have a Skylake-based CPU on board. The chances of the new iMac sporting the latest generation Kaby Lake processor is very slim, given that Intel has yet to even release the brand new processor to the public. Despite this, the reports are claiming that the slightly older chipset might be compensated thanks to a possible integration of a Polaris-based GPU from AMD.

AMD's latest generation graphics chips will apparently also add a new possible feature to the iMac, thanks to it being fully VR-ready. With the addition of AMD's new GPU, the 2016 iMac could be coming with VR capabilities. A possible VR feature could elevate the iMac itself to be an even more desirable product that Apple fans would love.

The 2016 Apple iMac computer is expected to be launched at the end of the month, along with Apple's new MacBook Pro laptop, and even possibly a new 2016 MacBook Air.
