Chevrolet has officially revealed the updates and changes found on the 2016 Corvette.

After debut of the C7 Corvette in 2014, it received minor changes for 2015. Now, the car is getting another round of changes to prepare it for the 2016 model.

Barkau Automotive reports that there is no exact release date for the 2016 Corvette Stingray yet, but the sports car from Chevrolet is expected to hit dealerships in the fourth quarter this year.

The newest Corvette edition will be based on the 2015 Chevy Corvette and will stand out more due to its features that make it track-ready.

According to reports, the new edition of Corvette also includes the Corvette Z06 C7.R edition, which will be based on the Racing C7.R and will come in limited edition.

The new Corvettes will also have three design packages — the Twilight Blue, Jet Black Suede, and Spice Red.

Buyers can tick the box to choose the color packages, which can custom-tailor the appearance of their Stingray or Z06.

All three design packages for Stingray will also offer a rear spoiler and customers may be required to get a 3LT model and the Magnetic Ride Control, as reported in the Car and Driver. As for Z06 versions, they are available for 3LZ trim levels.

For the features, the Z06 C7.R will have a "RPO B92 carbon fiber hood," sporting a black "Jake" graphic, Corvetteblogger wrote.

The Z06 C7.R will also have interior changes in which seats will carry logos that were etched with lasers. The blog stated that the Z06 C7.R package will be available at the end of the year.

Among the new features for Stingray, on the other hand, include new wheel designs that come in Silver, Chrome, Black Machined, and Black finishes, as well as a B92 carbon fiber hood.

Stingray will still have its powerful 460-horsepower 6.2-liter V-8 power core. The front curb-view parking camera is also a new feature to prevent any accidents on the curb that may result to a very unpleasant dent on the car.

Full price and availability details should be released later this year.
