The Nissan Altima has been around for quite some time, although the model has hardly made an impact if you compare it with similar vehicles in its niche.

All that, however, stands to change come 2016 when Nissan unveils a refreshed 2016 Nissan Altima that seems to be a cross between a luxury car and a sports vehicle.

The redesigned model aims to hit the car market hard and hopefully gain some ground as far as helping Nissan game some ground in the car market segment is concerned.

The 2016 Nissan Altima will come with a lush new aerodynamic design, a bump from the familiar square-shaped mold the vehicle had been known for back in the 90s.

For 2016 however, it offers a pretty impressive design that somehow takes it a notch up the sports car niche. The external design does offer a look that somehow distances itself from the traditional mold that the original Maxima once had, using an energetic flow design style that sort of comes out with an attitude.

All these are capped with a rear spoiler and 18-inch alloy wheels which make the ride all the more smoother with the aid of sport-tuned suspension.

Under the hood, the Maxima still offers the same 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine and 3.5-liter DOHC V-6 choices, something which should amply compliment that aerodynamic design. But one thing worth noting here is that the combination of both makes the vehicle fuel-efficient.

With a lighter body and increased stiffness for better vehicle body control, the result is quieter and smoother ride which should in all account for the fuel-efficient brag that the car offers.

Inside, the interior is something to look forward to. Technology is, of course, not surprising to be present, carrying a 5-inch and 7-inch display screen depending on the model to offer a full suite of navigation and modern in-car connectivity. Other worthy features include a forward collision alert, forward emergency braking, blind spot warnings, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control.

The steering wheel and the shifter are clad in leather, complimenting the impressive infotainment setup, not to mention blending in magnificently with the pampering cabin.
