A new update has been dropped for the upcoming 2017 Hyundai Elantra. The new Elantra will arrive before this month ends and will have a starting price of $17,150.

Although the upcoming vehicle has been given revamps and modifications to make it a better product than its predecessor, the 2017 model is still offered at a much lower price — $100 lesser to be more specific.

For $17,150, buyers will get to own the base Elantra SE, which has a six-speed manual transmission and a 2.0-liter engine that delivers 147 horsepower. Those who want to go for the six-speed automatic transmission should shell out $1,000 more.

The 2017 Hyundai Elantra Limited models will have a starting price of $22,350 and only come with automatic transmission. It also has extended features as part of its standard design which include LED taillights and leather seats, according to AutoBlog.

Those who want to go further and add an eight-inch infotainment system, complete with navigation, more superior stereo, and a sunroof, will need to go for the Tech Package, which costs $2,500.

Another add-on, the Ultimate Package, priced at $1,900, gives the Elantra HID headlights, memory seats, and safety features such as a lane-keeping assist system, smart cruise control, and auto-emergency braking.

The 2017 Hyundai Elantra will also come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, making smartphone usage inside the car easier and safer.

"By launching our best-selling model, Elantra, with CarPlay and Android Auto support, we are building on our promise to offer more convenience features for today's modern driver at an affordable price point," Mike O'Brien, the company's vice president of product and corporate planning, said in a statement.

Apart from the base and Limited trims, the 2017 Hyundai Elantra will also release two more trims: the Eco and Sport trims.

The Eco version carries a turbo-charged 1.4-liter engine and a seven-speed dual transmission. Pricing and complete details for the Eco version will be revealed sometime near the spring launch date.

On the other hand, Hyundai has not revealed any details about the Sport trim, but is expected to be introduced later this year.
