The 2017 Jaguar XE was recently made available for car enthusiasts although its concept build has been out for testing since late 2015. As stated on the official Jaguar website, the lowest SRP (suggested retail price) for the new Jaguar XE starts at $35,000 and this can climb up to $46,000 and more depending on trim and features.

As stated in a report from Car and Driver, the 2017 Jaguar XE is designed to rival the BMW 3 Series. The baseline trim of the Jaguar XE gives a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine pushing out 240 horsepower and 251 pound-feet of torque. However, the higher trims come with a supercharged 3-liter V6 capable of 340 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque.

CNET reports that the main draw of the new Jaguar XE is its implementation of newer technology and vehicle architecture to keep it fast and light while still retaining durability and safety. It is also notably stiff and easy to handle, guaranteeing precise steering capabilities and balance.

In regards to the its interiors, the report states that the Jaguar XE is not as upscale as some of the more expensive model Jaguar vehicles but even the entry base trim has interiors that would feel comfortable and presentable, particularly the inclusion of the signature Jaguar dashboard, push-ignition system, phone connectivity and wide touchscreen.

Unfortunately, Car and Driver does point out that the trunk and the infotainment systems leave a lot to be desired and this may be a result of Jaguar focusing primarily on the car's performance and stability but sacrificing some of the luxury that Jaguar cars are known for.

The trunk may not be as sufficiently large as most drivers require and the infotainment is not as accurate as required for most drivers relying on GPS maps. However, these are noted to be small nitpicks against what can be considered as the best Jaguar car for drivers with a modest income.
