After finding out how the all-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan will look like upon its release, the European car maker officially unveiled the first photos of the E-Class Wagon for those who need to have a larger car space.

The upcoming E-Class Wagon comes with all the advanced features of the E-Class sedan, but it also offers a wider interior space that will be perfect for transporting more passengers and bigger cargos.

Based on the photos released by the car maker, the brand-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Wagon will also have the same 115.7-inch wheelbase just like the sedan, but its extended roof and read hatch can provide an ample amount of extra space.

It will still feature the split-fold function in the rear seats, but the new edition can now accommodate up to about a 10-degree steeper angle so that bigger cargo sizes can still be used even if all the five seats are occupied.

But unlike the earlier models, the new E-Class Wagon can turn into a seven-seater because of the two rear-facing seats that can be folded out of the back seats of the vehicle's standard rear seats. However, the two extra seats can only accommodate small children comfortably.

Other notable features include the self-levelling air suspension located at the wagon's rear to make sure that the automobile remains leveled even if it is fully loaded or while being towed. The automatic rear hatch can also allow drivers to program it according to their desired height to prevent impacts when entering low garage ceilings.

The all-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Wagon will come out in three diesel engine models in Europe, which includes the 150PS (148hp) 2.0L E200d, 194PS (191hp) 2.0L E220d and 258PS (255hp) 3.0L V6 E350d. There will also be four petrol units, the 184PS (181hp) 2.0L E200, 211PS (208hp) 2.0L E250, 333PS (328hp) 3.5L V6 E400 4Matic, and the 401PS (396hp) 3.0L V6 E43 4Matic AMG. But the US market can only get their hands on the E400 4Matic Wagon.

The new E-Class sedan will be available this summer, and the E-Class Wagon is expected to come out in early 2017.
