Porsche officially lifted the covers off the 2017 Porsche 718 Cayman during the recent Beijing Auto Show. It was revealed that the overhauled sports coupe comes with a 718 Cayman S model.

The revamped 718 Cayman cars don "a more striking and athletic appearance." Porsche takes pride in the more muscular look of the cars, owing to the "sharper" front fascia, "ultra-slim" front lights, "three-dimensional" taillights and a high-gloss, striped, black rear fascia.

The 2017 Porsche 718 Cayman vehicles are powered by the company's brand new turbocharged flat-four cylinder engines -- the same units on the recently unveiled 718 Boxster.

The 2.0 liter engine on the 2017 Porsche 718 Cayman clocks in an impressive 300 horsepower. Paired with PDK and Sport Chrono Package, it can dash up to 60 miles per hour in 4.5 seconds. Its top track speed is 170 miles per hour.

The 718 Cayman S variant delivers 350 horsepower from its 2.5 liter engine. It can go from 0 to 60 in a matter of 4.0 short seconds. Within an hour, drivers on board this ride can go up to 177 miles per hour.

Thanks to the new engines, the upgraded 718 Cayman cars offer an increased torque. Consumers are looking at a 67lb-ft boost on the Porsche 718 Cayman, bumping up the torque from 213lb-ft to 280.

The 718 Cayman S model, which comes with the same variable turbine geometry (VTG) tech used on the famous 911 Turbo, helps the coupe deliver 309 lb-ft of torque, a 37 lb-ft increase from its predecessor.

Just like the new 718 Boxster, the 2017 Porsche Cayman cars will have Connect Plus for drivers to be updated of the traffic in their area, CarPlay support, Wi-Fi connectivity, a USB port and the Porsche Car Connect app.

The 2017 Porsche 718 Cayman and 718 Cayman S will be available this November for $53,900 and $66,300, respectively.
