As stated in a report from Playstation Lifestyle, the point-and-click adventure game "2064: Read Only Memories" is coming to the PS4 and PS Vita this coming Aug. 16. However, the game will not just be a simple port as it will come with a few new features such as voice acting, a revamped script and story and revamped puzzles.

It is pointed out that a lot of the voice cast comes from actors who have worked on TellTale Games projects such as "The Walking Dead" and "The Wolf Among Us." Some of these cast members include Melissa Hutchinson, Dave Fennoy, Jim Sterling, Zoe Quinn, Adam Harrington and Sarah Elmaleh.

According to a report from EuroGamer, the voice talents weren't just selected due to their experience in voice acting for video games as some of them are unknowns and others are YouTube stars. It is further explained that the developers wanted a diverse cast that represented the characters in the game.

"We worked hard to find people of color and a LGBT folks to play those characters in the game. We really wanted to stay true to these characters and who they are on every level," explained Matt Conn, founder of the developer company Midboss.

"2064: Read Only Memories" is set in Neo San Francisco in the year 2064, where genome splicing is now common, allowing humans to have cat ears, tails, colored skin and other traits. The main story revolves an android that has been given full artificial life and is on the run when his creator suddenly goes missing.

The game has been critically praised not only for its gameplay and story but also for the way it implemented diversity with its inclusion of characters of multiple backgrounds and LGBT characters as well.

It will cost $19.99 regularly but there will be a 10 percent discount on launch day, dropping it temporarily to $17.99. It will support cross-platform purchasing for PC, PS Vita and PS4.
