A survey conducted by Fandango listed down the top movie titles that fans are eagerly waiting for in 2015, and it seems that moviegoers are particularly interested in the latest installments of widely popular film franchises. 

According to the survey, JJ Abrams' soon-to-be released "Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens" occupies the top spot of the most anticipated movie this year. "The Force Awakens" is the seventh installment of the epic sci-fi movie, originally from George Lucas. It will feature an all-star cast, including Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Mark Hamill, Kenny Baker, Peter Mayhew, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Andy Serkis, Lupita Nyong'o, Crystal Clarke, Pip Anderson, Christina Chong, Gwendoline Christie, Greg Grunberg as well as Max von Sydow. "Star Wars Episode VII" will be released on Dec. 18. 

Then, there is "The Avengers" sequel titled "Avengers: Age of Ultron," which is produced by Marvel. This will bring back the stellar cast of superheroes, including Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, among others. This Josh Whedon-helmed film is expected to be released on May 1. 

Fans are also excited to watch the final installment of "The Hunger Games" series, as "Mockingjay — Part 2" goes to cinemas on Nov. 15. This Jennifer Lawrence-starred movie will wrap up the story of Katniss Everdeen and her battle with the dystopian regime of President Snow in the fictional city of Panem. Other stars include Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne and Josh Hutchinson as Peeta Mellark. 

Female fans, however, cannot wait until Feb. 13 to finally watch the movie adaptation of the hit adult literary work "Fifty Shades of Grey," where Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson will portray the controversial roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, respectively. The film is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson. 

Then finally, the fifth most anticipated film for 2015 is "Jurassic World," the latest installment of the "Jurassic Park" series. On June 12, Chris Pratt will give life to a theme park employee who discovers that the scientists are creating a genetically-modified creature to add another attraction to the park, but the end product turns out to be highly dangerous.
