Actor Scott Baio's wife Renee refuses to 'question God's will' as she battles brain tumour

"Happy Days" star Scott Baio is going through a difficult time right now since his wife Renee is battling meningioma brain tumour. But the actor is pretty impressed by his wife's strength amid the difficulties, noting that "she refuses to even shed one tear, nor will she question God's will."

The actor sought for "any extra prayers" for Renee on his Facebook page, according to ET Online. Even though 90 percent of meningioma brain tumours are benign, Baio said they can still cause some serious problems depending on the size of the tumour and the location.

"We are waiting to learn the exact location to see if it's operable," he said. "Renee, Bailey and I will get through this and along the way maybe help educate others to get checked out (MRI with contrast) as 6,500 people each year, mostly women, get these tumours."

Baio then praised his wife for demonstrating true courage and resolute faith in God during this time. "Renee has been down some rough roads in her life. Yet each time with her strong faith in God, she comes through a better and stronger person. During this time we ask for your prayers and support. My wife is my rock," he said.

Baio shot to fame for his role as Chachi Arcola in the sitcom "Happy Days" as well as its spin-off "Joanie Loves Chachi." He is also known for playing the title character in the show "Charles in Charge." He was also the main character in the musical "Bugsy Malone." Baio also appeared as Dr. Jack Stewart in the medical and mystery drama "Diagnosis: Murder." He currently stars in the sitcom "See Dad Run."

He has been married to Renee since 2007. Together they have one daughter, Bailey, who was born five weeks premature. Fortunately for them, Bailey tested false positive for a rare metabolic disorder, and this inspired the Baio family to establish the Bailey Baio Angel Foundation which provides financial support to families who are dealing with metabolic disorders.
