After seven years onscreen, hit cartoon series "Adventure Time" is finally in its tenth and final season. The latest episode titled "Bonnibel Bubblegum" aired on Sept. 17, 2017, and the show took a short hiatus after that. However, "Adventure Time" will be returning in December with four new episodes.

According to Adventure Time News, all four episodes will air on the same day on Dec. 17.

The episodes are as follows: Seventeen, Ring of Fire, Marcy & Huntson, and the First Investigation.

Considering the show will be ending in the near future, fans of the series, are excited to see what the remaining episodes have in store, how the plot lines will be wrapped up, and where the characters will go. A lot of questions have yet to be answered in the land of Ooo, and a lot of character arcs have yet to be brought to a close. Whether the show will be able to do all of that in its limited amount of time has yet to be seen, and answers will only become obvious once the future episodes have already aired.

While not much is known about the episodes yet, story board panels have been released on King of Ooo, the official "Adventure Time" is crew's Tumblr account. Most of the panels feature doodles hinting at what fans will be able to expect from the upcoming episodes.

Seventeen will reportedly focus on Finn's 17th birthday, Ring of Fire will be a Tree Trunks-centric episode, Marcy & Huntson will be an episode revolving around Marceline and her strained relationship with her father Huntson Abadeer, while First Investigation will bring Finn and Jake back to Joshua and Margaret, their parent's old office. All the upcoming episodes seem to tie in with plotlines relating to the character's story arcs. Whether they will bring any to a close though, fans will have to wait until Dec. 17 to find out.
