"The Affair" season 2 won't just show Noah Solloway's (Dominic West) and Allison Bailey's (Ruth Wilson) perspectives of the events that led to their affair and the consequences that followed. According to a report from Venture Capital Post, it appears that the POV's of Cole Lockhart (Joshua Jackson) and Helen Solloway (Maura Tierney) will be shown as well.

Season 1 ended on a cliffhanger as Noah was arrested for the alleged murder of Scotty Lockhart (Colin Donnell). The first promotional trailer for season 2 reveals that Noah won't be in jail for long as he may post bail of half-a-million dollars, but that doesn't mean Cole Lockhart won't be coming in for vengeance.

Cole is shown to have found Allison, something she is obviously not happy about, but they do share a sweet hug and she notices that her ex-husband looks different and even disgruntled, an "absolute mess" as the report points out. But Allison isn't really Cole's target: he's out to get Noah as he blames the latter for ruining his life.

After all, Cole lost his wife in season 1 after Allison decided to stick with Noah, and he also lost his brother whose death at this point is blamed on Noah. The promotional trailers don't reveal if Noah indeed ran over Scotty so either it was him but he's hiding the truth or it could entirely be someone else.

The report from VCPost also states that season 2 won't just dive straight into the events after the season 1 finale. According to the report, there will be sequences that show what happened before but now under the view-point of either Helen or Cole, which could lead to surprising revelations that neither Noah nor Allison were aware of.

There's a lot of mystery surrounding "The Affair" season 2 and no one knows who's telling the truth. Season 2 is scheduled to premiere this October.
