'The Affair' season 2 spoiler, premiere date: Noah is in big trouble

"The Affair" season 2 will be told through four perspectives, which means that there will be double the drama and tension. Noah's viewpoint alone delivers a volume of all that with the many troubles he has to deal with this season.

Ever since the writer fell in love with Alison and decided to have an affair with the married waitress, things have taken a turn for the worse. While he sees himself as a nice guy, his wife only sees in him an egotistical jerk who is solely capable of giving her problems.

Noah managed to publish his own book by the end of the first season. He also finally felt that sense of freedom – something he has been longing to experience. For him, it felt like nothing in his life could go wrong but he is about to get a dose of reality's harshest bites.

In "The Affair" season 2, his game will not be so fun for long as the consequences of his affair with Alison takes over his life. He will be accused of the murder of Alison's brother-in-law, which will snatch away his long-sought freedom in a snap.

And as he evades arrest (he does not do a good job at that, apparently), he also has to dodge his past in the form of his ex-wife and Alison's former husband Cole, who is not the least bit happy about how things have gone down for him and how great they are for the guy who stole his wife from him.

The new season will now be showcasing the betrayed ones' side of the story. Fans will finally see through the lenses of Helen and Cole and will, at long last, get to know them as they see things and not how Alison and Noah describe them.

"The Affair" season 2 will premiere on Showtime on Oct. 4.
