As super heroes continue to invade primetime television, the latest spinoff is that of Marvel's Agent Carter which premiered Tuesday night.

To those who are unfamiliar with Agent Carter, she is the same character that starred in the "Captain America: The First Avenger movie".

Hayley Atwell is back embarking on new adventures set in 1946 after believing that his boyfriend Steve Rogers perished during World War II.

Now Peggy Carter enters the spy game but not after fending off some sexism issues at the office. Relegated to fetching coffee and answering phones, Carter embarks on rogue missions as she tries to get over the emotional and psychological consequences of losing her love in a male-dominated environment.

The Captain America spinoff is just one of many action series that are anchored on women expected for release.

On the pilot episode, Cooper finds herself getting the opportunity to be back in the spy game courtesy of Dominic Cooper's Howard Stark. Stark is forced to run and hide after being accused of selling technology to enemy agents. Hence, Cooper's first assignment – find out who is framing him.

As she did when she appeared on Captain America, Cooper shows off that he hasn't lost her touch. She uses her sex appeal and manages to maneuver sexism to work to her advantage.

The first two episodes will focus on Carter's hunt for a sci-fi super bomb that was designed by Howard. Much of this will be covered in the pilot episode. As far as the second episode is concerned, this one covers more about how Carter evolves into an independent woman.
