Fan-favorite female secret agent Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) will deal with a bizarre murder case when she returns on "Agent Carter" season 2.

Based on the previous information revealed regarding the upcoming season, Peggy and her colleagues at the Strategic Scientific Reserve (SSR) will move to the West Coast to handle an unusual murder case where the victim's body glows.

Peggy will immediately start on the odd murder investigation in the first episode of "Agent Carter" season 2 titled "The Lady in the Lake." According to the episode's official synopsis, "Peggy moves to the City of Angels to help Chief Daniel Sousa (Enver Gjokaj) at the West Coast Strategic Scientific Reserve investigate a bizarre homicide involving an alleged killer and Isodyne Energy, and reunites with some familiar faces."

While in California, the secret agent will be reunited with her friend Edwin Jarvis (James D'Arcy) as he helps her to get settled in Howard Stark's (Dominic Cooper) sprawling mansion.

Peggy will also get introduced to Jarvis's wife Ana (Lotte Verbeek), and they will reportedly get smitten with each other in an instant.

Peggy will find out that her investigation could result to a larger problem in the second part of the two-hour season premiere.

In episode 2 titled "A View in the Dark," Peggy will learn that the case that brought her to Hollywood could have several effects that could damage her career and the ones she loves most.

But aside from the new location and the new threats that will haunt Peggy this season, fans of the show can also looking forward to seeing her fall in love again in "Agent Carter" season 2. Will it be possible for her to date someone despite her hectic schedule as an investigator and a superhero?

"Agent Carter" season 2 will air the 2-part premiere on Jan. 19, on ABC.
