'Agent Carter' season 3 renewal update: Hayley Atwell up for return despite other commitments
Even though Hayley Atwell is now heavily involved with the upcoming ABC series "Conviction," the actress is still extremely enthusiastic to be back for "Agent Carter" season 3.
During the MegaCon in Orlando, Florida, Atwell spoke for the first time about the show's cancellation. There, she expressed her desire to be able to continue her character's story.
An attendee at the event quoted Atwell as saying that she would "shoot on the weekends, [take] Blue serum and [do] whatever it takes" for "Agent Carter" season 3 to happen.

The star added that she "100 percent" wants to make "Agent Carter" season 3 possible. "I love Peggy. I love the people working on this project. A privilege and an honor to bring her back to the fans," she was quoted as saying.

"We're just going to have to have another season to figure it all out," Atwell then promised. Fans will be helping her out in making that a reality through an online petition, which was immediately started after "Agent Carter" was cancelled by ABC.

As of this writing, the petition is 35,000 signatures away from being completed. There are already over 114,000 people who joined the cause for the show's revival in streaming giant Netflix.
"Agent Carter" is among the bunch of shows that ABC pulled the plug on. At MCM London Comic Con, actress Lotte Verbeek, who played Ana Jarvis in the series, was "sorry" about the cancellation and thanked fans for sticking with them up to the hopefully temporary end.
"You guys were just amazing supporting it and I'm sorry it got canceled. I feel like we're kinda letting you guys down—but it wasn't my decision, unfortunately," Verbeek said as quoted by Mirror UK.
But with Atwell's eagerness and the fans' determination, "Agent Carter" season 3 might end up happening soon. Netflix will be a fitting new home since Peggy will be reunited with her fellow Marvel Comics characters.
