"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 2 ended with a cliffhanger bonus scene where Agent Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) suddenly got sucked into the Kree monolith. It hasn't been clear where she was brought to, but according to a recent report from TVLine, Simmons' fate will be revealed pretty quickly, possibly in the first two episodes of season 3.

Henstridge told TVLine that they are currently working on the second episode, which indicates that they already shot the scenes that showcase what happened to her character. The actress already knows Simmons' fate and her reaction to the revelation indicate that her character's destination is going to be pretty surprising.

"I didn't think that they'd go that far with it, honestly," she explained. "I thought, 'Shes probably just inside the rock. Stuck.' But all my ideas are quite boring. The writers' imaginations are much better than mine."

This sentiment was later shared by Chloe Bennet, who plays Agent Skye aka Daisy Johnson, when she told Zap2It, "I didn't guess it. I was like, oh, OK, we're going there. That's happening now. It will be good."

Henstridge confirmed that the experience changes the character in some way although she didn't explain the specifics. The actress also stated that her hardships and experiences, the things Simmons will go through, will resonate through season 3 as a kind of overarching theme.

According to TVLine, 34 percent on their recent poll speculates that the Kree monolith will spit Simmons back out right after it took her in, but she will be changed and may even possess new powers. Simmons is depicted as an agent who is strongly against the aliens and all Inhumans but this change, if true, may alter how she views them since she now becomes one of them.

Zap2It's report cites that season 3 is going to be less about Hydra, indicating that the season will instead focus on the Inhumans and the formation of the Secret Warriors. Daisy Johnson and Simmons' experiences may be the key that will open up the main story leading up to the upcoming "Inhumans" film scheduled for 2019.

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 3 premieres on Sept. 29.
