'Agents of SHIELD' season 2 spoilers.: What to expect for season finale

Wikipedia

What lies ahead for the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.?

In the last episode, there were a lot of loose ends.

S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) wanted to track down Wolfgang Von Strucker and a way to get to him was through an unlikely alliance with a former mate in Grant Ward (Brett Dalton).

In what was initially seen as a way to gain trust resulted in a botched plan altogether, apparently signalling the rise of an even greater threat with remants of Hydra still around. All this is expected to take shape in the next episode titled 'The Dirty Half Dozen'.

Aside from that, there is also the matter of what may be happening in the alternative world. It will be recalled that Gordon the Eyeless had teleported Skye (Chloe Bennett) back but with an uninvited Cal (Kyle Maclachlan) in tow. So it would be interesting to see how things turn out in that alternative world with Cal seemingly getting out of control.

The next episode may likely mold the rise of Hydra once more, prepping viewers for the two-hour episode finale titled S.O.S.

Per rumors, there will be changes and sacrifices that would be made, something that may forever leave a mark and change the S.H.I.E.L.D. It will also see the unlikely team up of Coulson and Robert Gonzales (Edward James Olmos) as the two groups try to merge and fend off the impending Hydra threat.

It may be interesting to see as well what happens now that Skye and Cal after they are teleported back to the alternative world by Gordon the Eyeless.

What lies ahead considering Cal is raging like a lunatic once more? What will happen to Raina? How would the occurrences in the alternative world eventually get tied up with the real world conflict between S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra?

The answers to all these questions should be answered on May 12 when Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs its season-ending two-hour finale on ABC.

But before that, don't fail to watch the "The Dirty Half Dozen" which airs this April 28, 2015.
