Hot on the heels of the casting of "True Detective" alum Gabriel Luna as Ghost Rider in "Agents of SHIELD" season 4, another character's entrance was announced.

Actress Lilli Birdsell, who fans will recognize from "The Walking Dead," and "Geek Charming," was tapped for a recurring role in "Agents of SHIELD" season 4.

She will play the role of Lucy, who was described as "a beautiful woman with a haunting quality." Birdsell's character will prove the looks can be deceiving.

The rest of the character description teases that Lucy "has a very violent streak in her inner self, because of things that have happened."

Prior to her appearance in "Agents of SHIELD" season 4, Birdsell has been popping in various television series including "NCIS: Los Angeles," "How to Get Away with Murder," "Bones" and "Major Crimes."

It is unknown when Birdsell will make her debut as Lucy and who she will be most involved with on "Agents of SHIELD" season 4. However, Comic Book Resources believes she will have something to do with Ghost Rider.

Speaking of which, the version of Ghost Rider that will be featured in "Agents of SHIELD" season 4 is Robbie Reyes and not Johnny Blaze, who was played in the movies by Nicola Cage.

Instead of a motorcycle, Robbie (who was introduced in 2014 as the fourth character to take up the mantle) will be driving a black classic muscle car.

He will use this vehicle for racing to make money and eventually improve the state of living of himself and his developmentally disabled brother. It is unknown if this storyline will be adapted in "Agents of SHIELD" season 4.

For now, Ghost Rider is being teased for the new season as someone who has a score to settle. It is unknown if he will be a foe or a friend to Coulson (Clark Gregg).

In other related "Agents of SHIELD" season 4, showrunner Maurissa Tancharoen teased TV Line during the San Diego Comic Con that the show's new 10pm timeslot allow them to make the season "sexier."

"Agents of SHIELD" season 4 premieres Tuesday, Sept. 20 on ABC.
