Daisy might have gone rogue towards the end of season 3, but actress Chloe Bennet believes that her character has a logical explanation for turning over to the dark side when "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." returns for season 4.

The Inhuman member of the S.H.I.E.L.D. was seen causing mayhem in the season 2 finale, which prompted her former superior Coulson (Clark Gregg) to run after her. But in an interview with TVLine, Bennet said that she believes Daisy is trying to do more good than harm.

"You'll see coming up that there might be chaos happening and buildings might be collapsing and bridges might have been broken, but people are always miraculously saved and taken care of, the bad guys always seem to be losing," Bennet said. "I think she's becoming more of a vigilante than maybe she would like. I think she's trying to do good."

The actress also explained why Daisy opted to separate herself from the rest of her colleagues at the S.H.I.E.L.D. because of her tainted history. According to Bennet, Daisy's concern for all the people that she is working with caused her to live out on her own.

"I feel like she's protecting them, in a way, by going rogue," Bennet added.

However, Bennet also said there are a lot to look forward to when "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." returns for its fourth season.

"I feel like there's a fresh, new start to this season. It feels different," the actress said.

The series will return with a new director, which will be portrayed by actor Jason O'Mara after Coulson was demoted to a regular agent. However, the new director's name has yet to be revealed. The fans will also see the introduction of Ghost Rider (Gabriel Luna) in the upcoming season.

Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 4 is slated to premiere on ABC on Sept. 20.
