French global telecommunications company Alcatel has recently announced its ONETOUCH watch, which happens to be a wearable that can easily sync with a user's Android or iOS device. One of the primary differences between ONETOUCH and Apple Watch is the price. Alcatel ONETOUCH carries a price tag of $149.99 while the base model of the Cupertino tech giant's wearable is stamped with a $349 price tag, and goes all the way up to $17,000, on a model called Apple Watch Edition.

Since Apple Watch has been designed to interact just with iPhones, the wearable is currently only able to sync with the tech giant's lineup of smartphones, and that too after owners have updated it to the latest version. However, where Alcatel's ONETOUCH excels is that it is able to sync with both Android and iOS platforms through a Bluetooth LE module. Unlike Apple Watch, which comes in two dimensional variants, a 38 mm and 42 mm one (larger one will carry a larger price tag), ONETOUCH is only available to purchase in the 42 mm dimension.

In terms of form factor, Alcatel's offering possesses a round watch face and features a 1.22 inch display with a resolution of 240 by 204 pixels. Side by side, Apple Watch's smallest model possesses a 1.5 inch display with an expected resolution of 272 by 340 pixels. Both devices are going to be charged differently than the other. Apple Watch will require a magnetic charging pad to receive its energy while Alcatel ONETOUCH possesses a hidden USB 2.0 port in the band.

The USB port will help to charge the smartwatch in just about an hour, and according to the company, the battery life of the product will last for 2-5 days. Apple Watch can last up to 18 hours on a full charge. Currently, both wearables are not available to purchase but companies are taking pre-orders for the smarwatches. Apple Watch is officially going to be available on April 24, 2015 while Alcatel ONETOUCH will be released later in the year.
