Lara will be fighting for her life in death-defying stunts and challenges. Not only will she be facing physical problems, she will also be required to use her mental prowess to solve puzzles.

According to CinemaBlend, Lara's relationship with her father was highlighted in the new trailer, showing how his disappearance and, consequently, his mysterious death, pushed her to set out on an adventure that will eventually change the course of her life.

Vikander will be succeeding Angelina Jolie who starred as Lara Croft in "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" in 2001 and its sequel "Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life" in 2003. She will be starring alongside "Money Monster" actor Dominic West and "AMC's Into the Badlands" actor Daniel Wu. Portraying as her nemesis is "The Hateful Eight" and "Django Unchained's" actor Walton Goggins.

From Warner Bros. Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures, the upcoming movie will be directed by 2015 film "The Wave" Norwegian director Roar Uthaug. It will be produced by Oscar-winner producer Graham King.

"Tomb Raider" is set to be released on March 16.
