Kevin Spacey had been in hot water after "Star Trek" actor Anthony Rapp spoke out on the alleged sexual assault by the "House of Cards" actor years ago.

Netflix had recently revealed that it would not be producing the political drama series "House of Cards" with Spacey in it, who plays lead Frank Underwood. Now, it seems that the domino effect is in motion, as another project involving Spacey has just decided to remove him from the cast.

The film "All The Money In The World" had been slated for a Dec. 22 release, but director Ridley Scott, along with Dan Friedkin and Bradley Thomas of Imperative Entertainment, decided to drop Spacey (who plays J Paul Getty) from the movie. This was a risky move and would require reshooting the scenes with Spacey in it, but the cast and crew were willing to go the extra mile. Some of the scenes involved Mark Wahlberg (Fletcher Chase) and Michelle Williams (Gail Harris).

Even so, Scott announced that he would try his best to keep the original release date. Spacey is set to be replaced by Christopher Plummer as Getty. The decision came after the film, whose story was inspired by the kidnapping of the grandson of Getty, was pulled out of the AFI Fest.

The withdrawal entailed a lot of decision-making from the bosses, who took in consideration of the major accusations against Spacey, as well as the hard work of all the cast and crew. Scott and Friedkin reportedly had to make the choice of removing Spacey from the film in order to save the movie from becoming a complete waste. 

Other actors in the film "All The Money In The World" include Olivia Grant as Millicent, Andrew Buchan as John Paul Getty II, and Romain Duris as Cinquanta.
